What started as a passion for authentic Mexican cuisine soon became a celebration of culture, color and art.
In 2010, Marco Rojas and Carlos Cervantes combined their lifelong love of food to open Fresco Mexican, now a beloved neighborhood Mexican restaurant in Chester NJ. Inspired by their deep roots in Mexico and the vibrant folk traditions they grew up with, the idea for something more began to grow.
During their regular visits to Mexico, Marco and Carlos found themselves collecting stunning pieces of Mexican folk art-handcrafted works by indigenous artisans that told rich stories of heritage and history.
They realized that these one-of-a-kind items deserved a place to shine, and Random Acts of Fresco was born.
Our Love for traditional Mexican craftsmanship started alongside our culinary journey. We wanted to bring these beautiful, meaningful pieces to Chester-so others could experience The soul of Mexico through its art.
Today, Random Fresco is more than a shop-it’s a cultural destination. From hand-painted ceramics and embroidered textiles to vibrant Dia de los Muerto art, every item is selected with
care and purpose. Visitors are not only buying art-they are supporting artisans and keeping centuries-old traditions alive.
Since opening our doors in 2011, we’ve built lasting friendships with artisans across Mexico-
and trusted relationships with our customers here in New Jersey and beyond. When you shop
at Random Acts of Fresco, you are not just buying art-you’re supporting a tradition, a story, a
livelihood.
And nothing brings us more joy than seeing the light in someone’s eyes when they find the
perfect piece-
Something that speaks to them, moves them, or simply makes them smile.
Every smile, every story, every returning visitor reminds us why we do this. Our greatest joy is seeing art find its perfect home.
Amazing artwork, beautifully handcrafted decor, and the most awesome owners!! Marco and Carlos, thanks for bringing true beauty from Mexico to Chester!!
For over a decade, we’ve celebrated tradition with heart. Fourteen years later, our passion still grows stronger every day.
